Hiller secures prestigious German Design Award for new SEE-Control Pro HMI Unit

Centrifuge specialist Hiller GmbH has won the German Design Award for Excellent Product Design for the second consecutive year.

This prestigious award has been won for the new SEE-Control Pro HMI unit, which was launched here in the UK in 2022.

The award was made on the basis of the visualisation of the new HILLER SEE-Control Pro HMI unit which impressed the judges and took the accolade – “with its fresh and simple design, sets new standards in the operation of decanters.”

The screens on the new unit are five times faster than a conventional display. They are also clearly arranged, and the menu navigation is clearly structured, which creates an intuitive, easy-to-use system for any user. In addition, the alarm and trend evaluations support the operator and ensure the best possible decanter performance.

The visual display on the unit also boasts clear and smooth colour transitions and clear with a light/dark switching function integrated for optimum operability under changing light conditions all this allows for the display of video for things like service & maintenance tasks etc

Features on the award-winning SEE-Control Pro HMI Unit include:

• More powerful processor and larger main memory for faster operation • Specially developed hardware coating for increased protection against corrosion • Longer battery buffering for data retention in the event of power failure • CFast memory card for faster operation • Higher graphics performance • Possible SSD extension for permanent storage of trend data • Profinet and ethernet interface • Combination of Hiller SEE-Control and Hiller remote maintenance (emails can be sent automatically to our customers and service department)

Ensuring optimum performance of Hiller centrifuges, the new SEE-Control Pro HMI Unit is also available as a product retrofit / upgrade from older styles of Hiller controllers currently in the market.
